OMG! What a place, what a view. House is absolutely fantastic, gorgeous rooms, bathrooms, and en-suites. Stunning views from the patio and balcony, with added bonus of much needed Dog Wash Station. We were here on the hottest week the UK has experienced, so no use for a Sauna! Hardly used the car to different walks to Elterwater and Skelwith Force. Cathedral Cave via Slaters Bridge every morning and evening. Highly recommend on early morning walk to Blea Tarn to watch the sunrise. Couple of meals in Three Shires Inn, nice food, limited menu. After very early morning walks, breakfast in the sun on the patio, was fantastic in the peace and quiet with only bird song. Evenings on the balcony with a cold beer, it could not have been better. James and Janet have been fantastic from booking to providing information, updates and providing a nice welcome pack for humans and dogs. Already booked for June 2027. Can't wait.
Had a great time. House is amazing. Lazy days watching TV. Weather not very good, but managed to get a good walk in yesterday, 8 mile/7.5 hours. Dry, but couldn't see much due to cloud cover. Pike O'Blisco, Cold Pike, and Crinkle Crags.
Perfect place to chill and unwind.
A wonderful week spent in the Langdales. Weather was very kind to us despite the forecast. Great trips out to Blea, Hardknott Fort, Wastwater, Rydale including the caves. Lovely walks direct from the house, including Elterwater, Skelwith, Tilberthwaite, and of course, Cathedral Caves, not to mention, Lingmoor Fell for the more adventurous.
The house worked really well for us. The Sauna very much appreciated after being taken up Scarfell Pike!! Cinema nights were great, and the views fantastic.
Looking forward to a return trip.
